Jan. 28 - ANNUAL MEETING – ALL deacons bring treats

The minutes for October were approved.

NEW MEMBERS – Three new members will be joining the church on Nov. 19. This will be a potluck Sunday sponsored by the deacons. Each deacon is to call the members in their “district” and invite them to the potluck. Nancy Jo, Julie and Jan will decorate the hall on Nov. 18. Nancy Jo shared the new member packets that have been developed. Larry C. suggested that an annual calendar be included.

WOMEN’S SUNDAY – T’Shala and Pam agreed to conduct communion on Feb. 4.

ADVENT – Pippa agreed to co-ordinate church decoration on Dec. 2.

REMINDER FOR LITURGIST – Liturgist is to recognize coffee hour hosts and arrange for 2 people to take collection.

PROPOSED CLASS BY PATRICIA WOOD – Deacons approved a proposed 3-part series on “Advent Reflections” that Patricia wishes to lead as part of her seminary training.

SERVING COMMUNION – Deacons wished to make Communion available to persons who find it difficult to walk to the front of church to receive it. Stephen will take Communion to them in the pews.
