Details

Maire Howard called the meeting to order at Skyland Church at 7:07.

Stephen Glauz-Todrank opened the meeting with a prayer.

MINUTES: Maire gave an overview of the previous month's minutes.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. KITCHEN REMODEL:

The trustees hired Keith Emmons for the kitchen remodel and gave Fern Thompson authority to supervise the remodel. Fern will be the only point of contact with Keith.

The trustees discussed what we would do if the kitchen remodel was not complete by Harvest Festival. We will monitor - and make adjustments to the kitchen use.

We will have the church participate in the demolition on June 3rd and June 10th.

Maire, Gene, and Wes will be there on June 3rd.

Brendan, Gene, and Wes will be there on June 10th.

Jim, Stephen, and Pippa will check their calendars.

Lynn will be gone both days.

Pippa and Jim will make calls to demolition volunteers.

Lynn and Jim will be the point people for potential kitchen donations.

Pippa will talk to Paula Leary about if the kitchen plans will accommodate events.

Maire will ask Brook about his evaluation of our power to cover electrical needs.

2. BUDGET

The trustees reviewed the budget at the last meeting. No new changes. Some of the committees still have not submitted requests.

3. MEMORIAL AREA

The deacons are working on a memorial area - potentially a memorial walk. The trustees will evaluate after we are through with the remodel. There was general agreement that it is a good idea - but we need to make sure it does not limit the ability to remodel in the future.

4. MEMORIAL COMMITTEE

Phillippa Siersema is the volunteer for the memorial committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:41 when the trustees updated the fire extinguishers.

Just as the meeting ended Gerry arrived and gave Maire an update on the budget that she included in the annual budget.
