Communications among the committee members have been via email rather than regularly scheduled meetings. In fact, today’s meeting was the first for this year’s members. In the future, we’ll meet as needed, but we’ll continue to use email as our primary medium.

Old Business

I’ve summarized below the main topics covered in various email threads and updated in today’s meeting:

1. Music for the 10K Run

Sue has graciously volunteered to arrange the music for the 10K Run in July. She has in mind a Celtic music group in the Santa Cruz area called CeleDe (www.celede.com). Paula is also on the 10K Run committee, so we seem to be well covered.

We expect the expenses for the music at 10K Run to come out of the 10K Run budget, not the M & A budget.

2. Designated alternate coordinator

Terry Clark asked us to nominate an alternate communications coordinator. (I am listed as the primary coordinator.) I nominated Sue as our alternate, but since she was not at today’s meeting I will follow up with her individually to get her approval.

3. Musical suggestion

Erica Goss suggested musician and poet Ken Waldman for a possible performance at Skyland Church. Christina will follow up on Erica’s suggestion, and if Ken looks promising, she will forward her recommendation to Pippa, who has handled events like this in the past.

4. Snack Schedule

Our after-church snack schedule is now complete:

Christina suggested that my “snack ideas list” be posted on the church’s website. I’ll send it to her, and she will see that it gets posted.

5. Group Picture

We had our group picture taken today for posting on the committee’s Web page. Our three missing members (Brenda, Sue, and Paula) were represented by Christina’s baby, Ava.
