Budget: The following budget figure for 2006/7 was determined - Adult Education - $0 Sunday School - $450 Youth Group - $1,000 Nursery - $1,000 (In hopes of T'Shala as a half-time volunteer
Nursery: (T'Shala Olivieri) T'Shala will lead a Nursery Corps. She will volunteer 2 Sundays per month and recruit others for the balance of the time. That budget not used for pay of nursery help will be used to purchase new equipment, toys, books. T'Shala and Patricia will review what the Nursery needs.
Sunday School: (Patricia Wood) Since T'Shala will no longer be teaching Sunday School on the 4th Sunday (come September), Janis Smith raised her hand to indicate she will consider teaching on the 4th Sundays (Thanks, Janis. We hope you will decide to do it for sure!)
Youth Group: Sarah DeFalla - There will be a Youth Leadership Summer Retreat and Training at Camp Cazadero. YOUTH LEADERS NETWORK RETREAT & TRAINING: August 18-20 @ Camp Cazadero To register, contact Joy Davis at 510-247-8995 or go to http://ncncucc.org
Church Council has given their approval for a Youth Delegate to be selected to attend the Asilomar Conference, May 18-20 ($120Fri-Sun, $60 Sat/Sun). Eileen will provide a phone list and Will will call to recruit for this terrific leadership opportunity.
Will Clark will took some youth from Skyland to a UCC Fundraising Dance in Berkeley on Saturday, March 25 from 7-11PM. All went well and it was fun.
Easter: (April 16) youth group will coordinates the appearance of the Easter bunny along with the goodies to supply her/him. Jeremy and Will to coordinate, manage the costume and "bunny" and goodies. Youth group will hide the goodies.
Mothers' Day: (May 14) Youth are preparing the service for Mother's Day during their meetings between now and May 14. Members of the congregation have been invited to bring pictures of their mothers to contribute to a display for the event.
Adult Education: Del Mahrle, nothing new discussed, see minutes from February 19.
Children's Sunday: Patricia and Deacons (June 11th) nothing new discussed, see minutes from February 19.
Summer Program Coordinator: Peggy Johnson, backed by Dell Mahrle for first three Sundays -see minutes from February 19.
