  • Gerry Alonzo
  • Stephen Glauz-Todrank

Summary: Completed clean-up day. Scheduled Agricon to cut down the large Bay tree. Reviewed work done on heater and discussed next year's slate.

Details

Stephen opened the meeting with a prayer at 7:37. The minutes from November were reviewed and approved.

Gerry Alonzo provided the Treasurers Report for November. The YTD revenue shortfall has stayed about the same, but the expenses have continued to fall so that there is now a net shortfall of over $2,300. It is has continued to be a concern.

New Business:

Stephen thanked us for all the clean-up day work we did. The walls and ceiling of the Church entrance were power washed and scrubbed to get rid of the dried egg. The gutters were cleaned and a small trench was dug to ensure the downstairs does not flood again.

Larry talked about the tree proposals. After some discussion it was agreed that we should limit the work to cutting down old bay across the parking lot, and trimming the oaks that threaten the buildings. It was further decided that Agricon had the best bid and should be given the work. It was also proposed that a more significant trim and/ cutting of the large oaks in the back of Whitiker be done, but after some discussion was agreed that we would need to take any such action to the church congregation first. It was also suggested that before we presented such drastic measures we should first take core samples to determine what must be done. Larry agreed to call Agricon, and have them come out as soon as possible to take down the bay tree. Larry also agreed to notify the church of Agricon's actions.

There was a concern about how dark the front entrance of the church is at night. At the same time we did not want to add anymore lights all night. After some discussion, Brian agreed to look into putting a timer on the light in front of the church.

The primary business at the annual meeting is voting in the new committee members, so the trustees discussed the committee's openings. Lou agreed to sign-up for another term. Larry agreed to call Anthony Petrillo to see if he is willing to do another term. Mike Overson will not be able to continue, which leaves two open positions to be filled by the nominating committee.

Old Business

We continued the discussion about the bathroom heaters, which seemed to continue producing the smell. The only conclusion we could come to was that it had something to do with the pilot light. Lou said he would look into a piezoelectric starter. We agreed to continue the discussion.

The leak in the church roof and other items were brought up but not resolved.

Other

The meeting was adjourned at 9:05pm.
