The TRUSTEES MEETING was opened with a payer from Stephen.

In Larry Cooke’s absence, Mike volunteered to lead the meeting and Lou volunteered to take minutes. The April and May minutes were approved. The trustees wished Gene Geist a happy birthday.

Gerry Alonzo provided the fiscal year-end Treasurers Report. The pledges and offerings are behind the YTD budget by $6,696. The year to date income is $3,651 behind in total. Disbursements were under YTD by $5,512. The net total for everything is $1,861 under budget year to date. The general fund is in arrears by $4,853. This includes carry-forward balances from previous years.

New Business:

1. Add a shelf in the men's bathroom

2. 10K run support

3. Ruben Oso Rio has volunteered to trim the weeds on the Wicht’s property. Gene or Mike will let Roger know.

Old Business:

• Review ceiling fan project

o Identify and approve purchases

o Schedule installation.

• Approve Site Committee co-chairs:

o Jim Bowen & Joan Law

o Joan Law agreed to become a co-chair of the Site Committee if Jim Bowen would stay on as co-chair. He agreed. The committee has done good work in the past. The trustees should review and confirm or re-define their on-going role, approve their new chairs and select a (or re-confirm the existing) liaison.

o This item was tabled until the July meeting.

The Trustee’s “TO DO LIST? was reviewed and updated:

Item Status

1. Church Fan Control - Larry Lopp Open

2. Sound system in Whitaker Hall - Larry Lopp Open

3. Fans for Whitaker Hall Needs to be done before the Summer Art Camp starts on June 21. It was agreed to install 3 Hunter fans (white blades with remote control) at the 3 locations where the beams cross. Surface-mounted wiremold to be used to route the electrical power from the box near the front doors to the fans. Lou agreed to look for a suitable fan. Gerry agreed to pick them up.

7. Cover for box above Sanctuary back door Completed by Lou

8. Harvest Festival wood Wait until the need for concrete forms has been determined.

9. Shed Repair Shed needs attention as it has rotting beams and a leaning wall. Shed is on cinder block now and needs a poured foundation. Estimated cost of materials was put at $3,500. This amount will be added to the non-utility portion of the 2010 Budget request. Mike suggested using some of the excess wood from Harvest Festival for forms for the new foundation.

10. Flower Box Replacement Old box removed by Lou. Brian has cut wood for the new box. The irrigation line needs to be installed under the box first. Angle brackets will be installed on the outside corners, the sides will be bolted to the concrete, and the inside will be lined with plastic.

11. Kitchen Smoke Alarm It was agreed to move the smoke alarm from the kitchen to the hall at a height that could be reached with the yellow ladder to facilitate battery replacement.

12. Fireplace bricks have cracks, upstairs Whitaker. We need to identify a high temperature caulk.

13. Sanctuary Leak There is a water leak at the small, high stained glass window that is more noticeable on windy days. Brian volunteered to contact ServiceMagic.com to get quotes for the repair as they are licensed and bonded but he hasn’t been able to do it yet.

14. Kick plate 42-inch kick plates for the door between the chair storage and Whitaker hall have been ordered and received. The doorstop keeps punching through the hollow door. The materials are in Whitaker Hall, but need to be trimmed and installed. Lou volunteered to complete the work

15. Extending Asphalt by handicap parking It was decided during a previous meeting to pave this area with concrete. Lou measured and determined that 1,5 yards of concrete are required. The irrigation line needs to be installed first.

16. Exterior Lighting Add small CFL dusk to dawn fixture on the west side of Whitaker to light the walkway to the deck

17. Exit sign battery Completed by Brian. The defective battery in one of the lighted exit signs was replaced.

18. Add a shelf in the men's bathroom near the sink

Other:

The Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM

Checked exit signs and fire extinguishers on the way out.

Next meeting Thursday July 02 at 730 pm
