Marcia called the meeting to order at 12:05.

Stephen opened with a prayer.

The minutes of the March meeting were approved as read.

Housekeeping tasks were assigned as follows:

Patricia Wood is liturgist at 8:00 on Easter.

Max is liturgist at 10:30 on Easter.

All deacons are to act as Deacon of the Day on Easter.

Max is liturgist on 4/19.

Christina will arrange for liturgists for the future Sundays.

At 1:00 the candidate for the position of intern arrived for an interview. All present were favorably impressed with the candidate, Yael. It was MSP to ask Stephen to offer her the position of intern for the ’09-’10 school year. Christina, Marcia and Julie expressed interest in serving on the teaching parish committee.

Old Business:

Readers for Maundy Thursday are Ruth, Kacie, Don, Max and Christina. Christina and Marcia will set up communion. Max will help Stephen to set up the sanctuary.

Memorial Committee: Don reported that the committee had met to finalize details for the memorial wall and had contacted an architect to draw up the plans.

New Member Sunday will be May 17.

Liturgists – Christina will organize liturgists for the next several months.

New Business:

Marcia presented the Council proposal for sharing Harvest Festival responsibility. Deacons would be in charge of welcoming and books. There was general approval of the idea.

Our next meeting will be May 3.
