The meeting was hosted by Fern and was called to order by Mary Ellen at 10:40 a.m.

Del gave the devotional reading.

Meeting minutes for February were passed out and read. Dorothy moved they be approved and Del seconded the motion. February minutes were approved.

Sunshine Cards were signed and sent to Paula Leary, Janis Smith and Angela Patterson.

Fern submitted the Treasurer’s Report. Spaghetti dinner profit was $174.11 after writing a check to Mary for salad expenses of $34. Women’s Retreat had 20 people sign up for a total of $700. Profit for the retreat was $265 minus one refund for someone who couldn’t attend for a total profit of $230. Account balance at this time is $1002.14.

Old Business

• Retreat – Creativity and spirituality were combined.

• Collage Class – Christina Lopp. Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Whitaker Hall from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and will be $55 per person. Each person should bring a salad or bread. Currently two people signed up for the class. Brenda will email Christina to see what her minimum class size is.

• Cake Making Class – Linda Heyes. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Whitaker Hall from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will be $30 per person. Each person needs to bring her own layer cake (2 - 8�? or 9�? round cakes), stand and spatulas.

• Wine Tasting – Contact Jackie Seymour. May 8th.

New Business

• Easter Set up – April 12th. Fern will set up for the early service. Del will decorate and ask for help if needed. Mary Ellen will help with clean up. Still need someone to help set up for the late service and more help with clean up and food. Will discuss these items next meeting.

• Start Thinking About Donating Our Money – Want to keep the donations local. Some suggestions were Santa Cruz Mountain fire victims, Valley Churches United, Indian boy and Julia Swayne’s trip to Africa. Dorothy will talk to Jan to see how Julia’s fund raising is going. Some would like to designate Julia as a Ambassador of Goodwill for Skyland Church.

Next Meeting will be April 7, 2009 and held at Fern’s house. Mary (cookies), Janis, Nancy Jo and Diane will bring food. Next month’s devotional* will be read by Ruth.

*May 5th devotional will be read by Carol Greene.
