Meeting minutes for October were read. Ruth moved they be approved and Mary Ellen seconded the motion. October minutes were approved.
Sunshine Cards were signed and sent to Sally Mitchell and Janis Smith.
Fern submitted the Treasurer’s Report. Amount in our account is $438.33. Nancy Jo moved to see how we can reduce the $8 monthly fee and Ruth seconded the motion. All approved the motion. Jackie, Fern and Mary Ellen are going to the bank today to close out our old account and open a new account. The bank manager will waive the monthly fee and Fern and Jackie’s names will be added to the account.

• Potluck – Gina Adams will again coordinate potluck signups. • Spaghetti Dinner – January 23, 2009, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Linda Heyes will chair and Joan will assist her. • Spaghetti Sauce & Pasta – Jan Geist, Nancy Jo and Del • Dessert – Jackie, Mary Ellen and Fern • Salad – Mary Skillicorn • Garlic Bread (Costco) – Jackie will buy 9 loaves • Sparkling Cider – Linda • Coffee & Tea – Kitchen people • Wine Glasses – Linda • Kitchen Help – Mary, Linda, Fern and Del • Money Taker – Dorothy, Ruth will be her backup • Master of Ceremonies – Mary Ellen • Entertainment Chairs – Mary Ellen and Carol • Decorating – Linda will ask Don and Joan • Program – Linda will check with Carolyn Bowen on where to buy kazoos (Oriental Trading Company) • Clean Up – 8:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Linda will ask Pippa, Jennifer and Holly • Music – Linda will ask John & Gerry about playing the piano during dinner • Discussion on wine at the spaghetti dinner – Most of the Women’s Group still want to have wine at the dinner • Ruth will make spaghetti dinner announcements in church • Retreat – February 21, 2009. Carolyn Glauz-Todank will lead the retreat at the convent in Los Gatos. Possible ideas: Relationships, The more you get, the less you are, Spending time with God. • ALP – Jackie reported that the ALP Open House went well. One thousand books have been collected and almost all of the money needed to ship the books. • Beading Class – November 15, 2008 at Whitaker Hall. $20 per person.
New Business
• Giving Tree – Brenda will receive family information mid-November • Collage Class – Jackie left a message on Christina Lopp’s phone to see if she is interested in teaching a collage class for our group. • Christmas Pot Luck – December 21, 2008. Fern will bring a ham and Nancy Jo will bring a squash dish. Everyone else will bring main dishes. Linda will decorate the day before and ask Joan to help her. • Cake Decorating – Tentative date is March 21, 2009, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Everyone needs to bring their own cake (2 - 8�? or 9�? round cakes). • Field Trip – Nancy Jo still working on possible locations. Looking at an April or May timeframe. • Winery – Jackie will talk to Gerold O’Brien about wine tasting. She will also check into the Bargetto Winery.
Next Meeting will be January 6, 2009 and held at Fern’s house. Ruth, Mary Ellen and Linda will bring food.
Next month’s devotional will be read by Ruth.
