The meeting was called to order at 12:25 by Marcia Rollins. Patricia Wood brought us up to date on her seminary training. She has completed a successful in-care renewal meeting with the UCC Committee on Ministry and thanked the deacons for their support thus far. She asked for feed-back regarding her sermon and any other aspects of the service she conducted on 8/31. The sub-committee that will be supporting her in the next phase include Larry C.,Del Mahrle, Jeremy Cole, T'Shala Olivieri and Pam Nates.

The minutes of the August meeting were ammended to indicate that Glenda was preparing the bags that will be handed out at the Deacon booth at Harvest Festival. Minutes were approved as ammended.

Stephen will contact Kristin Pratt, T'Shala and Pam Nates to see if anyone is available to serve in the pulpit while he is on vacation.

Marcia will bring bread and set up/ clean up for Communion on 10/5. Larry C., Ruth and Julie will help serve.

Memorial Wall - Don reported that the project is on hold for now.

Harvest Festival - Marcia will be at the booth in the morning. Richard will take a shift from 1:30-3:00. Glenda passed out bags to be prepared with a stencil for Harvest Festival.

Deacon Potluck - Oct. 19. Jennifer will prepare signs for each table. Don will write an article for the newsletter. There should be a list of deacons and the people in their 'area' posted on the bulletin board.

The meeting closed with a prayer at 1:30.
