Trustee Meeting Minutes 7/3/08

Present: Jim Bowen, Wes Smith, Gene Geist, Larry Lopp, Lou McTamaney, Mike Mahrle, Gerry Alonzo, Terry Leary, Peggy Johnson

1) Minutes of the previous Trustee Meeting (6/5/08). Gene moved to accept the minutes and Gerry seconded the motion which was unanimously approved.

2) Treasurer’s Report: Gerry had no significant news.

3) Open action items:

• Church fan control change: Pending

• Spring clean up: Gutter clean out needs to be done right away. Will do 7/19. Will look into gutter guard mesh cover. Office window privacy film is in hand and just needs to be put on.

• Blacktop plans: will be included in Master Plan

• Women’s bathroom: Lou said a contract was sent to John Thompson. John needs to do blocking for the new partition. The partition will be put in mid-August depending on John’s availability. Gerry sent a check to Harbor City Supply for the partition. Will do beige covey instead of black in women’s bathroom.

• Handicap parking: will be included in Master Plan

• Landscape committee plans: will be included in Master Plan

• Sanctuary handicapped access has been implemented by Brian Wood. 6 pews have been done, 2 more to go.

• Sound system in Whittaker Hall and church: pending

• Whittaker Hall mercury vapor lamp replacement: Larry brought in a sample of possible replacement lamp. Gerry, Lou, and Larry will install 3 lamps.

4) Skyland Run: set-up 7/11 at 7PM; 7/12 at 7AM; Kitchen set-up at 6:30AM

5) Harvest Festival: First meeting was held. Sorting won’t start until 8/1/08.

6) Jim will meet with Site Planning Committee next week.
