Stephen reported that he will be out of town Aug 10,17,24, and 31. Possible substitutes were suggested. Stephen will make arrangements.

Don reported that the Memorial Book is being updated. Glenda is making the entries using a calligraphy font. He also described the preliminary plans for a memorial area between the oak tree and the restroom/nursery wing.Plans include a low surrounding wall to accommodate memorial plaques and an area for benches.

It was decided that the Deacons would provide a welcome booth at Harvest Festival with a map of the Festival layout, a demonstration of the Skyland website, and brochures describing the church and it's activities. Richard is looking into the cost of buying reusable shopping bags for use as handouts, with the skyland web address imprinted.

Marcia reported that Jenifer had prepared the letter of recommendation for Patricia Wood.
