Mary Ellen opened with readings from Mary Oliver’s book, “New and Selected Poems.

The minutes of last month’s meeting were approved as read.

Sunshine Cards will be sent to Sally Mitchell, Dorothy Ellis, Janis Smith, and Tamara Catto.

Treasurers Report: Diane Cooke reported that after the moneys earned from classes were dispensed as suggested at our last meeting, we still have a "cushion" for next year.

Old Business:

Fern brought some glass tumblers for us to see. She had bought three dozen for the church kitchen. The women present approved of her choice. She will be reimbursed from the Women’s Club treasury. Carol and Fern will go to the Corning Ware outlet store to check on dishes for the kitchen.

Year Review:

Mary Ellen again summarized our accomplishments for this year. We held two beading classes, a Spaghetti dinner, a Women’s Retreat, a Soul Collage class, A Wine tasting event, and contributed to Christmas and Easter flowers as well as potlucks.

Mary Ellen reported that the money collected from the various projects this year has been sent to recipients as we decided last meeting. We decided as follows:

1. Women’s bathroom floor--$600.00

2. Valley Churches United--$100.00

3. Matching Cups and glasses for kitchen--$100.00

4. Anne Evan’s Library Project in Africa-shipping costs--$100

5. Jackie Seymour’s daughters African project for the Peace Corps--$100

7. Native American Boy--$336

Mary Ellen expressed thanks to Brenda for her beading classes, Joan for chairing the Spaghetti Dinner, Mary for Sunshine Cards and hosting, Julie for leading the women’s retreat, Ruth for being the contact for the Soul Collage class, Jackie for arranging for the Wine Tasting, Nancy Jo for her wonderful Photos of our group, Dorothy for calling to remind us of meetings, Diane for her work as Treasurer, and Del for her work as Secretary. The group responded by thanking Mary Ellen for doing a great job in leading us.

Mary Ellen has resigned as president of the Women’s Club; Jackie Seymour has agreed to be the president next year. Diane Cooke resigned as Treasurer; Fern Thompson will be treasurer next year. Del Mahrle resigned as Secretary; Brenda Jatho will be Secretary next year.

We adjourned to enjoy a wonderful Salad Luncheon in Mary's beautiful home.

Respectfully Submitted,
