Details

John reported on the last Church Council Meeting, with information and dates of upcoming events, church meetings and church process changes. He will recommend to our co-chairs, Pippa and Christina that they attend future council meetings to represent Music and Arts.

John reported that our committee has 7 Sundays in June when we are responsible for Coffee Hours after church. Pippa has the master list. As of this meeting there are still open dates needing sign up by committee members. John will e-mail to us the How-To document that was created for Coffee Hour.

Skyland Run, coming up on July 7 needs some focus soon for entertainment choices. It was suggested that Patricia talk with Sue Marvin who handled things last year to find out what resources were used.

Terry agreed to ask Erica if she had made headway on the poetry reading plans discussed at the February meeting. Stephen is especially enthused about this idea. John will send Erica notes on coordination of music for the Harvest Festival so she can have time now to plan.

The Loma Music and Arts Camp to be held at Skyland on July 7-11 in partnership with LGS Recreation, now has 20 students registered and everyone is enthused about the fun it will be for kids, the new people it will attract to Skyland, the service is provides to the community and opportunity for our teacher-members to work in the arts realm with children.

Our next meeting is scheduled for June 15 after potluck.
