Old Business The council discussed the importance of keeping the online calendar up to date. New Business 1. We discussed an email sent to Stephen: Dear Stephen,
I have been very much enjoying your sermons online from far away down here in Alabama. I was wondering if I could be considered a member of the church even though I'm not currently able to be there in person?
I do listen to your sermons every week and would like to keep up with the community. Also thanks very much for offering your wonderful sermons online. They are a great help to me and comfort to me. I deeply appreciate being able to access them this way.

The council agreed that she can be a “friend��? of the church.
2. Does the council need to meet every month? After discussion, the council decided to keep the same schedule we have now.
Board and Committee Reports • Board of Communication Systems: Larry will trouble shoot internet connection. • Board of Deacons: re announcements in church. Will discuss more at the next meeting. Kristen Pratt is moving her commitment to “Foot hill��?. She will not be in care here. The deacons are discussing reactivation of the memorial committee-with a memorial for John Anderson. They also agreed to update the membership list. • Board of Missions: It is a busy time: one great hour of sharing on Easter, Crop walk,Sklyland run. Special projects are being considered. Coffee hour pilot test will begin in May. One member from Mission committee will find someone not on a committee to help with coffee hour. • Board of Music and Arts: no meeting. It was proposed that we record choir anthem on Sundays . • Board of Religious Education –Easter bunny on Easter. We need to be aware that Mother s and children may come to services because of our online presence. • Board of Trustees: Clean up went well. Paper products are in utility closet. Loma Prieta club would like to join us in the book exchange. Walkway project starts after Easter. Hall is done. New controller in Sanctuary, seems to be working. There have been pleas that we do something about the recycling bins. This is being taken care of by missions • Women's Group –busy with Soul Collage class 4/19, Wine Tasting 5/9, June luncheon. Jan Swayne reported on a discussion with Gina Foster about Gina’s church in Oregon. They are also trying to grow their church. Their children’s programs and youth programs meet with youth from three other churches. The Youth go to Mexico every year to build homes. They are paying attention to language used in church. They are also using the web to find out what they want to know about how to be a growing church. They are working at assimilating newcomers and are getting involved in small groups. Jan suggests we try some of the same to “grow��? our church. Announcement: Diane and Larry Cooke are generously giving $24,000 for landscaping, ramp etc. $2000 of which will be used for the pastoral discretionary fund. Closing prayer--Stephen
