The meeting was hosted by Fern and was called to order by Mary Ellen at 10:20AM.

Since the recording secretary Del Mahrle was unable to attend, Brenda took meeting minutes.

Nancy Jo gave a devotional reading.

Meeting minutes for the March 3rd meeting were read. Fern motioned they be approved and Janis seconded the motion.

Sunshine Cards were signed for Sally Mitchell, Glenda McCalla and Angela Patterson.

Back up caller for Dorothy is Janis.

Treasurer’s Report was submitted by Diane Cooke and presented by Mary Ellen. We made $240 on the bead class. Out total amount is $1,435.59.

15 people attended the Bead class. Beautiful items made by everyone.

Soul Collage will be held Saturday, April 19th at Whitaker Hall from 10AM to 4 PM. The cost is $25 per person. Ruth will announce the class in church this Sunday, April 7th. If attending, please bring a salad to share.

A Party will be held Friday, May 9th at a private residence with Gerald O'Brien from Silver Mountain Vineyards starting at 6:30PM. The cost is $20 per person. There is a limit of 35 people. There will be a 20% discount on all wines. Available for tasting will be six wines. We will supply appetizers. NO salads or sweets. Ideas for appetizers: Cheese, pate, sliced French bread, salmon, shrimp, smoke salmon, crackers, crostini, fruit trays, raw veggies, dips, frozen appetizers from Trader Joe’s, etc. There is a sign up list for appetizers, so preview before signing up.

Mary will bring non-alcoholic drinks (Calistoga, juice, etc).

Set-up time will be at 5:30 - Jackie, Jan & Gene and Brenda.

Clean up will be Mary Ellen, Lou, Nancy Jo and Larry.

How to spend our money? Suggestions were:

*Fern – cups to match plates in kitchen. She will check into this and get back to the group

next month.

*Nancy Jo- library project of Ann Evans (books).

*Fern – linoleum for the women’s bathroom.

*Ruth – Valley Churches United. March and April donations are doubled.

Jackie’s daughters project in Africa.

Church in San Francisco collects money for orphans whose parents have died from Aids in Africa.

Nancy Jo moved that we donate $150 to Valley Churches United and Janis seconded it.

We will revisit these other ideas at our June meeting.

Our June luncheon will be held June 3rd at Mary’s house. The meeting time will be 11AM. Brenda will help set up. Mary Ellen will help with clean up.

Next meeting will be May13th (second Tuesday) at Janis’ house. Back up will be Mary Ellen’s house. Time is 10:15AM. Ruth will do the devotional.
