Summary: Details Trustees Meeting Minutes 3/6/08
Present: Mike Mahrle, Jim Bowen, Stephen Glauz-Todrank, Gerry Alonzo, Larry Lopp, Gene Geist, Lou McTamaney, Peggy Johnson
1) Treasurer’s Report was presented by Gerry Alonzo. • Gerry will call Coast Propane to delete the sales tax from the propane bill • John Thompson has been paid completely and the partition has been installed. 2) February Meeting Minutes • Lou noted that his idea was to raise the shed temporarily to replace the rotten beams with new beams and then lower the shed. • Larry made a motion to approve the minutes and Mike seconded the motion. The minutes were unanimously approved. 3) Old Business • Larry noted that the old thermostat in the church has been replaced with a digital thermostat. It is set to go on at 8AM and off at noon. Instructions for the new thermostat will be on the website and in the operating manual (drawer by refrigerator). • The Sunday Service tasks have been done by Peggy and Larry for the past 4 weeks. Discussed need for volunteers for March and April. Aaron Selfridge will blow the leaves away twice a month. Gerry will do tasks this coming Sunday and Jim will sign up for May. • Lou will look on-line at PG&E website to find church data for kwatt/hours. • Need to add to repair list: fan in church. It has to get very hot in church before the fan turns on. The vents are usually closed and open when the fan goes on. Will change system to bypass the thermostat and allow fan to be turned on/off with circuit breaker. Vent status needs to be checked. • Stephen said we need to have some way to indicate that the men’s/women’s bathroom is occupied. Larry will get an occupied/vacant lock for the door. • Trustees feel the purchased restroom signs are acceptable. Jim will ask Fern to buy a women’s bathroom sign. • Gerry and others took care of the chip piles. • Jim questioned whether anyone had contacted Brooke about the tree. Lou thought Wes had spoken with Brooke, who had agreed to take care of the bay tree. Lou and Wes will help Brooke. Date to be arranged. • Spring clean up is not on website yet. The sign up list was sent out on email. Lou noted that other items needed to be added to the sign up list: shed clean up and woodpile spreading. Sign up sheet needs to be posted in Whittaker Hall. Jim said he would help Larry with cleaning up the shed. • The walkway will be repaired after Easter. Jim is still working to arrange meeting with Wes and Pippa to review plan for the blacktop area. Pippa has said that we can’t blacktop over the roots of the tree. Jim will check with Pam Nates about whether the disabled parking space is problematic. • Jim spoke with Larry Cooke about the wood planks. Decision is to keep them until final decision is made about Harvest Festival needs. • Landscape Committee: Pippa Siersema, Scott Skillicorn, and Joan Law have agreed to be on this committee. Still need to confirm with Brooke. • Discussed whether the site maps have been located. Larry has some, possibly as PDF files. Brian Wood and Lynn Nixon may also have some maps. Lou an Larry will meet to review maps. Jim will contact Brian about the maps. • Privacy film will be placed over office window on spring clean up day. The office is working well. 4) New Business • No new business • March 18: Larry will represent the Trustees at the Council Meeting • Jim needs someone to lead the Trustees Meeting on 4/3/08. Lou will do this. Edit | Back |
