Disbursements were over by $2,440 for council, $1,221 for Harvest Festival and $1,825 for the 10 K run. Other expenditures were under, so the total was $601, under budget (favorable).
The grand total, for everything, is $3,794 over budget, year to date.
Old business
The projects currently in progress, and those approved, are almost completed. There is some residual on the bathroom for the partition. The partition has been ordered and is due in mid January.
There will be money needed to complete the ramp and raise the level of the walkway; this allows reasonable wheel chair access to the bathrooms. There appears to be enough money to complete this, when we include Gerry’s kind donation. Lou indicated we need about $2000 to do the blacktop for this. However, there may be other areas that need the blacktop as well. Pippa indicates we would probably need to reduce the area for plantings and also add some small irrigation to sustain the plantings during the summer. Jim Bowen will work with Pippa to develop a plan for doing this.
The fire hydrant project is essentially complete with CDF signing off on the project. We will move the sign and add some posts to prevent someone running into the hydrant.
New Business:
Tree maintenance The tree near the church entrance will be trimmed back further. We will ask Brook to do the job with Wes and Lou to help. At least for the moment it was decided to save the tree.
Shed repair Lou indicated the shed needed to be on a new foundation and some of the support beams need to be replaced. It appears we will need to get an outside contractor to do the work. This will be on the maintenance agenda for the coming year.
Wood Shavings It was indicated that Agricon continues to dump piles of shavings on the property with two new ones having appeared during the week. Stephen indicated he would put up a “No Dumping sign.
Hall Rental Gina will report to the Council, on Jan.15th, the proposed rental policy for Whitaker Hall.
Budgets The budgets will be completed in the January/February meetings.
Annual Report An annual report of the Trustees for 2007 was due before Dec. 31. Maire Howard and Lou McTamaney completed that report.
The Meeting was adjourned at 9:30PM.
