Our leader, Mary Ellen, brought the meeting to order.

Brenda Jatho led the devotional.

Jan Geist moved and Mary Skillicorn seconded that the minutes of last meeting be approved as read. We voted to do so.

Diane Cook gave the treasurer�s report:

Mary Skillicorn will be treasurer next year.

Diane has adjusted and amended the former report. At present we have $896.14 in the women�s group treasury..

A Sunshine Card was signed by the attending women and will be sent to Sally Mitchell.

New Business:

Mary Ellen announced that she would like to retire as president after serving this term. After some discussion it was decided by the group that our year will begin in October rather than coordinate with the church council�s year which begins in January. So the next president of the women�s group would begin in October of 2008. There were no volunteers for the position.

Gina Adams volunteered to coordinate potlucks this year.

Janis Smith will do altar flowers with Del Mahrle�s help.

Mary Skillicorn will do Sunshine cards again.

Dorothy Ellis will do phone calling for reminding of activities, and soliciting of help for activities.

Future Plans:

We decided to have a �spaghetti� dinner on January 18, 2008. Jan Geist will cook. Nancy Jo will cook if she is able. (She will have hip surgery in November.) Joan Law has volunteered to help. Del Mahrle also volunteered to help with cooking.

The group decided to another women�s retreat on February 23Rd of 2008. We decided to ask Deborah Streeter what she would charge to lead the retreat as Eileen is working full time this year. Pam Nates will also be contactedif needed. The theme is undecided. Mary Ellen and Julie Victorine will arrange for us to meet at Holy Names in Los Gatos again.

Several classes were proposed for the new year: Christina�s Collage Class; Ellie�s cooking class; Barbara Broadbent�s Soul Collage Class; Beading�led by Brenda.

Ruth will call Barbara Broadbent to see if we can arrange for her to lead a class.

Brenda will check church Calendar to see is November 10th will work for the Beading class. She will put it in the church newsletter. We will charge $20.00 per person to attend the class.

Brenda also agreed to do the �Giving Tree� again this year.

Fern volunteered to host the next meeting, November 6, 2007. Del Mahrle will do the devotional.
