Old Business:
A summary of the years accomplishments were given by Maire… the foremost accomplishment being the kitchen and we gave a round of applause to Fern in her absence for her very dedicated and efficient work.
Hall rental It was agreed we could not do anything about rental until rental rates were established and this would be brought up at the Council Meeting on Jan.16th. The three categories we thought should be as follows:
A)… Grandfathered events like AA, etc which would essentially be an accommodation that could be paid as a donation rather than rental.
b)…A moderate rate for those community activities
c)…A higher rate for outside events like weddings
Jim Bowen stated that the opinion of some outside caterers was the hall should rent for between $500 and $1000 for outside, non member events. . Jim Bowen agreed to work with Stephen and Paula to finalize a policy to be presented to the Trustees.
Handicapped bathroom was not discussed.
New Business
Maire stated she could not be the Chairman for 2007 and recommended the Trustee group chose a new one. In addition, Brendan Pratt resigned for the 2007 year.
Jim Bowen agreed to give material on the prices and sources for new chairs and racks for Whitaker Hall at the Council Meeting on Jan. 16th.
The Trustees recommended that more organization is needed for the 10k run and The Harvest Festival.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:45 PM.
